Mission statement

The main purpose of the WLS is to promote the cooperation between Lagomorph researchers, by diffusing information, results, projects and news. The WLS will provide an electronic newsletter for members that aspire to be a way of communication among the lagomorph researchers, by giving update information concerning research, conservation or exploitation on the different Lagomorph species. WLS will also promote the World Lagomorph Conference (WLC), each 4 years, and support more regional symposium in specific subjects. As some of the lagomorphs have an important economic value, either as game or as pest species, a special attention will be done on these species, namely by given information for wildlife managers. WLS also aims to get funds to supports the attendance of students in conferences or to co-finance projects on particular subjects.
